After Benjamin Franklin worked in his father’s shop as soap-maker and candle-maker and as a printer in his brother, Josiah Franklin, in 1746 he had became interested in electricity.

At that time, electricity was played for entertainments. Tricks were performed. Ben sensed there was more to electricity than just tricks. He thought that electricity and lighting were alike. Ben wrote in his paper that the electrical fluid is an attracted by points.

Ben shared his knowledge of electricity with friends and other scientists. He wrote letters and also published pamphlets. Then Benjamin Franklin made experiment of that.

Benjamin Franklin made experiment with William Franklin. William Franklin is his son. Ben was married with Deborah at that time. Ben and William flied a kite in a thunderstorm. He was successfully.

The following year Harvard College and Yale University honored Ben with degrees. Ben also has another university degree, Doctor of Law.


Then Ben was almost sixty years old when he looked forward to restful. He continued working in Pennsylvania. He should carry the petition in London.
