Tarpaulin

Easing the thing
Into spurts of activity
Before the emptiness of late afternoon
Is a kind of will power

Balring back its received vision
From a thousand tennement windows
Just before night
Its signal fading
Tarpaulin draws that chances are real. Don’t waste the time and try to make life more beautiful. For the first stanza in this poem, in the first and second line, there are words that,” Easing the thing into spurts of activity”. It means that, belittle the thing in this life, thought life is full of problem, assignment or duty, and obligation.in the third line, there are words that, “ Before the emptiness o late afternoon”. It means that, before we get anything in the rest of our life. And in the last line in the first stanza, there are words that, “ is kind of power” it means that, it the ways to get something real in life. It there is related meaning between  the one line and the other line in this stanza.
In the second or the last stanza in this poem meaning about we as human who life in this world. Don’t belittle things in this life because life just only one. Here we should get again the things that had belittle before. In the first line, there are words that, “ Blaring back its received vision” it means that, get again a purpose that we want before. So, we must try to get it. And in the second line, there are words that, “From a thousand tenemet windows” it means that there are many chances that we have in this life. And in the third and the last line, there are words that Just before night. Its signal fading”. It means that, before the death come to us and there is no chance to breath again. So, as long as the chances to do something real in this life so, don’t waste the time. Take the chances to make life more beautiful.

THIS HOUSE WOULD BAN THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO INVOLVE IN THE ELECTION OF RECTOR

0 komentar
THIS HOUSE WOULD BAN THE UNIVERSITY STUDENT TO INVOLVE IN THE ELECTION OF RECTOR
A rector ("ruler", from the Latin regere and rector meaning "ruler" in Latin) is the highest academic official of many universities and in certain other institutions of higher education, as well as even in some secondarylevel schools. The term and office of a rector are called a rectorate. In a campus, rector become a very crucial position and the spotlight is the election of rector. This election become controversial among people, especially for university student.
Nowadays, many students are talking about this election. That has been controversial is the inability of students to choose their rector directly. Actually, most universities in Indonesia do not involve their students in Rector Election because there are pro and contra aspects that will appear if the students are involved in Rector Election.
These are the pro aspects of the election of rector in closed mode:
1. The election of Rector is too high level election, just ministry of education and senator who are fully responsible on it. There are three steps to choose the new rector in Brawijaya University for example, the first is crawl, and then screening, and the last is election. The people who have right to participate choose rectors are professors, representatives of academic staff, and student representatives, such as the president of the university student, representative of executive student, and faculty student groups. After that, the filtering is done by the council of the senate, and the final selection made by the Minister of Education. It should have been inappropriate to choose a good rector for university. Voters was also from people who are competent to decide which the rector is proper or not. If a university engage all students to vote, they may vote at random and do not thinking about the consequences, or even abstain. The things like that will bring out the bad habits for students.
2. University  student are easy to be influenced. As we know, the student still has labile thinking, and emotions are easily provoked. In that election, the rector if they choose not elected, they could only perform actions anarchists. It can occur as well, the rector candidates affect a number of their students to choose in an open election. This should be avoided since the student is the agent of change and the future for our country.
3. students dont know exactly who is the most competent candidate to be a rector. A student may be inconsequential in selecting candidates for a new rector. The university of Brawijaya, rector election contained in a regulation that only the Ministry of Education and the council of the senate who know the regulation. Although the criteria to be listed prominently rector to the students, they still will not know wether their chosen rector fulfill the criteria or not.
4. It will affect their studies. In addition, students must think of their lecture, they still have to think about where rector candidates who fulfill the criteria or not. It would bother with their concentration in the teaching and learning activities.
5. This controversial case among universities students make them do such an anarchy, like demonstration and so on. If the new rector that the ministry have choose is not compatible and competent, for example it turns out that the new rector do the corruption, and so on, the student will do the demo or even bad things that they may can do.
Beside the pro aspects, these are also the contra aspects of the election of rector in closed mode :
1. University student is agent of change. They must able to apply their knowledge to social life because young people like university student have important roles in the government. If the election of rector, that become the important thing in university, should be closed election, the university student will not able to train their ability to be agent of change in society.
2. They are mature people means that they are able to select which is the best one to be leader. University students not only physically but also mature adults in mind and behavior. They are able to understand complicated things, such as political and social. With it, the students would have been able to think maturely in choosing a new rector for their kindness. In Brawijaya University, that the election of rector is in closed method, so who can choose just ministry of education, council of the senate, and representative of executive student. It would not be effective and can be worse for the student, they will not know who is their new rector, from where, and what’s his or her ability or mission and vision.
3. Students will sharpen their sense of social commitment and purpose, and marry ideals with action. Beside that, university students are already able to understand thing like the regulation of the election of rector.
4. The young generation will form the backbone of politics in the coming years. As we know that university student is agent of change and they already learnt how to socialize and organization during in university, so they must involved in rector election.
5. Teaches the application of democracy in university to students. It is very important for students, remembering the students are young people who can advance and develop the future of our country. Democracy since the university will teach them to socialize in the community, especially in the general election whether headman of village elections or presidential elections.

THIS HOUSE BELIEVE THAT STRONG DISTRACTORSHIP IS BETTER THAN WEAK DEMOCRACY

0 komentar

Government :
That is right a strong distractorship is better. Why? Because dictatorhip has more stability and less chance to corruption. It will be easily and quick if its under one command. The country also has more development in sociability, economy and etc. Dictatorship is very eficient, because if there are problems the dictator will take action quickly and without long discuss with the other, they dont spend their time with discuss dont like democrasy they must  have long discuss without action, it makes the people satiesfied.
The dictator is prominent strengthen unity and solidarity. So the people more trust with dictator, they think it will easy to developing their country if they trust, because  the dictator has big nationality. And do not make confusing if under one command. For example in our country when under leadership Mr. Soeharto there are many development  in our country  like: economy, etc. Then in China also.
Opposition :

before tell you about advantages of democracy system, I want to remind you about definition of dictatorship. Dictatorship is a government or a social situation where one person makes all the rules and decisions without input from anyone else (include citizen). So the other people have no right to make decision?? It is like discriminacy. Its different with democracy it means the government of the people, by people, for people. So the government must work to people as representative of the people, and the people have a right to choose their representative(DPR, PRESIDENT,Etc). Freedom is needed for the people. They have right to give opinion, show their expresion, make decisions, etc. If in dictratatorship you will loss freedom. Dictatorship identic with crime if we don't trust to dictator we will get punishment. It make difficult for people who want to express them self. Dictatorship also identic with tyranny, otoryter, oppression, even reign of terror for example: although under leadership president Soeharto there are many development but the people loss their freedom, they also affraid to do anything because they will get punishment thats so different with nowdays. But if live in democracy we will find freedom, equality, and justice. Even a weak democracy still has all these positive things.
