Bangkalan Stadium

The location of Stadion Gelora Bangkalan (SGB) or Bangkalan Stadium at Jalan Soekarno Hatta no. 1 Bangkalan, Madura Island, is inaugurated in years of 2012. Bangkalan Stadium is the first stadium in Bangkalan that have the best quality grass in Indonesia like in Europe. Many football events that have done in this stadium. Besides as stadium, around the area of Bangkalan Stadium also there are destinations such as TRK (Taman Rekreasi Kota), Pumara (Food court), and Stadium at Night. Around the area of Bangkalan Stadium have known with society of Bangkalan and around and a lot of people like this destinations.

TRK location is the behind of Bangkalan Stadium. The park entrance is located on the north of Bangkalan Stadium. You can spent your time in this place with your family, your friend, your boyfriend/girlfriend. In this place there are playgrounds such as swings, slides, climbers, seesaw, and playhouse. In this place also there is water game like water bike. To try water bike you just pay five thousand rupiahs, you can around the artificial lake in this place with your family, friends, boyfriend or girlfriend. Besides that, there are facilities such as Mosque, Toilet, and waiting room for parents were keeping their children play. In TRK also there is swimming poll, the location is the East of Park. TRK, the park and the swimming poll are open from morning until afternoon. In holiday, this place is crowded.

 

PUMARA, stand for Pusat Makanan Rakyat is food court in area Bangkalan Stadium. The location is the north of stadium. This food court open from afternoon until midnight. Many traditional foods are sold here such as Madura Satay, Madura Soto, Madura’s Serpang rice, etc. And also many Indonesian foods such as Kupang Lontong, Gado-Gado, Tahu Campur, Fried Rice etc. And many drinks. The price is cheap, although the price of foods and drinks are cheap, the taste is delicious. Besides that the atmosphere is comfortable and clean. No wonder if many people like to eat and enjoying the night in this place. Every night PUMARA always crowded by consumers.

At the night, the area of Stadium exactly in parking area of Bangkalan Stadium also crowded like PUMARA. At the night this area is used as family recreation place. In this place, you can enjoy your free time to play with your family. There are games that is rent in this place. For children there are games such as mini scouters, mini cars, odong-odong, playhouses and so on. For teenager or adult there are Family bike, Family becak or you can rent a horse to around this area. Rental costs every game for about three thousand rupiahs until ten thousand rupiahs. If you just want to gathering with your family, your friends or your boy/girlfriend, there are many spot in this area by enjoying roasted corn and many snacks or drinks. At Saturday night, this area always crowded by family, or couple. The favorit place for couple, because not only beautiful and comfortable but also romantic. Many colourful lamps decorate the night this place. Because of many people visiting this place at satnight, often the vehicles of visitors parking in side of the road, so make traffic jam in Stadium area.

Although nowdays in Bangkalan downtown there are many destinations, recreation places and public facilities such as townsquare, Bangkalan Plaza, Paseban Park, and so on, society still need many destinations for refreshing, gathering, and hangout. It means  Bangkalan was to progress like Surabaya. After Suramadu Bridge was built, the economy and needs of society like entertainment venues are increase.

Lombang Beach

Lombang beach is also the beautiful beach in Sumenep regency same with Slopeng beach.
 Lombang beach is located in Batang-Batang Sumenep. The entry fee just Rp 5.000 for a person. Similar with Slopeng beach, Lombang beach has also casuarina trees and leasing a horse. The facilities are gazebo, warung, bathroom, and homestay for tourist. In Lombang beach there are coconut trees, you can take and drink it. So, let's go swimming, diving, or enjoying the beach. Have fun guys...

Slopeng Beach

Slopeng beach is located in Slopeng-Ambunten. Slopeng beach has white and black sand. The entry fee for old people, you pay Rp 5.000, for adult or students just Rp 2.000, and the children are free.There are some casuarina trees over there. You can take pictures in front of the casuarina trees or scenery of the beach. In Slopeng beach there is leasing a horse. You can ride a horse around the beach. You just pay Rp 5.000-10.000 for it. If you are hungry, you can buy some food over there. There is also small mosque (mushalla) to pray, don't worry to pray for moeslem. Let's enjoy the beautiful Slopeng beach...

BEAUTIFUL TWILIGHT

That afternoon was Thursday. That was fasting day! My close friend and I went to Kamal for searching food and drink that allocated for broke fast. Yeah most of all my boarding friends fasted. Before hunted food, we drop in market to buy some accessories. After that, we searched fruit-soup seller. 

In a little while when our motorcycle sped, Putri; name of my friend saw a warung* that sold fruit-soup. It seen from banner that impressed in front of warung. We not stopped directly. Putri said there is a warung that sold fruit-soup better tasty than this place, to be exact near harbor. I agree with her suggestion because I want to see a harbor that often told by my friends, and I haven't seen before.

 

A few minutes later stand-out beautiful sea that cooled my eyes. I also heard nice pounding of surf. That is the first time I went to that harbor. When I saw atmosphere around harbor, my eyes so amazement. Also when I saw bright-blue-sea, and beautiful sunset over the west. I enjoyed it. Then I came to realize, that our destination is searching for fruit-soup. And Putri told me, warung that usually sold her proud of fruit-soup was closed. Slowly, we left that beautiful front sea. I bid good bye to sunset on the westernmost.

Finally, we sold fruit-soup in warung that we found before. According to Puteri the taste of this soup pale beside fruit-soup over harbor. Never mind, this soup very well then. After paid the cost we rode back on motorcycle. Before it, I’m like got a gift. There are two rainbows decked out the sky. It was surprise for me. I also gave Puteri information about that. She followed me saw over the sky. And she gave me a sweet smile. What a beautiful rainbows!

After we bought all our requirements we went back to boarding. I felt my brain refresh, and my mind full of positivity. Although that was in just a little time, I like my vacation that twilight. That was a lucky day for me, because not every day I can go to harbor and see the rainbow. Especially, I saw double rainbows. That really beautiful twilight for me!

OUR COMMUNICATION IN BALI

In communication we need ‘something’ to communicate with others. Usually we use a language to do it, like Madurese, Bahasa, or English. Actually there are two kinds of communication; verbal and non-verbal communication.

When use verbal communication we use words to communicate. Verbal its mean oral or spoken, if we look up the dictionary. So verbal communication is how to communicate someone with language that come out from our mouth. 

In Bali, when me my friends have a tour, we often use this communication, verbal communication. Such as, when there is foreigner tourist, we try to speak with them. We use English to communicate our purpose like when we want to take picture with them or want to make new acquaintances. We choose English for conversation because of English is International language. 

We met many foreigner tourists when we arrived in Tanah Lot. I and 5 other my friends neared one of foreigner tourist that just already arrived there. She neared sea by him self. We neared her, while introducing our self. Obvious, she came from America, her name is Kania.  We talk many things with her, and she’s kind person. She answered with calm. We thanked god, our English was clearly that time. 

On the other side in the same place; Tanah Lot, 2 of my friends introducing their self to Japanese people my friends-language was very good. They like watching Anime, Japanese cartoon-film. So they can speak Japanese, although sometimes they use English. They acquainted with Tatomoe and Mayuke. Kirei, kirei desu, I think! What a beautiful name.

Previously, I also met many foreigner tourist in Kuta Beach, although Tanah Lot we met more foreigner. We arrived in Kuta Beach when sun going to set. What a beautiful moment and great light there. The light was golden.

Unconsciously, my eyes directed and rivet on a little-pretty child that played wave in front of us. She wore blue clothing. I told my friends about that child. Suddenly my friend beside me call out her,

“Adek, sini!” at then me and my friends clap her arm,

“She’s not Indonesian people you know,” then we laughed together. 

We were conscious that she’s foreigner tourist. To be certain, that little child not turned her head to us. Of course because she did not understand, and there are many people there, so she didn’t hear us. Then, because of our strong desire to know and take picture with her (especially me :D) . We neared to her. After we stood neared the little child we make a signal that we want to take picture with her. We modeled our fingers like push the button on camera. Surprise! She nodding her head, then we take picture together. We were very happy that moment although we can take picture use non-verbal communication, because we were very nervous.

PASEBAN PARK

Paseban park is the first park in Bangkalan, Madura island, East Java. The location is the north of Bangkalan town-square. The name of Paseban is based on by the history in the past, namely the transit place before the royal guests met the King. Paseban Park is inaugurated the end of 2013. 

Paseban Park is the outdoor town park that devoted to greening the urban middle. And it gives a lot benefits for Bangkalan society and around, such as family picnic spot, gathering, hunting and a place to relax on the weekends with friends. There are spots in this park such as Green Water, Green Community, Visitors Spot, Gathering Spot, and Parking area.

       
 

GREEN WATER

Green Water is a small stage as a celebration place or local bands, arts and cultures performance. This stage is semicircular and surrounded by gold-colored iron rod, which makes this stage looks luxurious but simple. 

The stage was named Green Water, because in right and left the stage there is a pond and the behind of this stage there are big trees, besides that there is soccer field that makes the stage background is green. The background of the stage is natural. So, Green Water is a beautiful outdoor stage in this park.

GREEN COMMUNITY

There is spot that has health benefit in Paseban Park, namely Green Community. Green Community is a community gathering or group place that equipped with permanent seating, circular. Suitable for community. Besides that, there are gravel around the circle, which is beneficial for healthy like rheumatic and for the health of the body. 

This spot similar to the one in the Lansia Park and Bungkul Park in Surabaya. So, Green Community is the main of Paseban Park.

           

VISITOR SPOT

Don’t worry about seats, in Paseban Park also there are many seats for visitor namely Visitors Spot. In this spot, visitor can see the activities in football field or the football game and also for couple or visitors who want refreshing. Besides that, visitors can use this spot for doing their assignment, who want a quiet place and relax their mind while doing it. So, Visitors Spot is a place to make comfortable for visitors who visit Paseban Park.

     

GATHERING SPOT

Gathering Spot or Cangkruan Spot is the south of Paseban Park. Said Gathering or Cangkruan Spot, because this spot is close to the street vendor. The visitors can use this place for hanging out with friends or refreshing with family while enjoying foods. So, visitors can enjoy their time in Paseban Park.

PARKING AREA

Paseban Park is also completed with parking area for visitors. But, this parking area just for parking of bicycle and motorcycle. There is no parking area for car. It is because the park is located in the down town, nothing place for parking the cars. Land use in downtown just for greening. But, visitors who have car, can parking their car in the south of Paseban Park. So, all of visitors can visit Paseban Park.

By there is Paseban Park in Bangkalan regency as a public facility which has many benefits as an open public space, visitors are expected to utilize, maintain and keep the beauty of this park. So that, this park is able to used by society for the long time. Because, usually in Bangkalan or other places, the new place is only treated at first only, and over time will notobserved without any treatment by government or visitors. Even, sometimes the hands of irresponsible, damaging the park or scribbling the public facilities. So, government or visitors should maintain this park. Beside that, this place also for reducing the effects of Global Warming are caused by the reduction in land for reforestation.
